Starting your musical voyage

Starting lessons can be an intimidating process. Who's my teacher going to be? What will they have me do? What if I can't do what they teach me? How much lesson material am I going to have to keep up with each and every week?  Our lessons are set up to suit your needs and skill level. We put you at ease from the first lesson and organize a lesson program that builds your confidence and inspires you!

All Aspects of Drums

Drumming encompasses more than just learning a new groove or fill, we will teach you all aspects of drumming from creative concepts to tuning and general maintenance of a drum kit.

We also help middle and high school students with band charts and upcoming auditions.

The Future Sounds Good

Our students make constant progress and have a lot of fun while doing it. We are very excited for what the future holds and continue to inspire them to do great things.

Many have moved on to become successful musicians and have something they can enjoy for their lifetime.

Meet Your Teacher

My name is James Thomas, I'm the founder and owner of The Drum Academy. I've graduated from both Berklee College of Music and Musician's Institute. I enjoy sharing my wealth of knowledge and experiences with my students, helping them move on to become successful musicians themselves. The main objective of each lesson is to learn and have fun while doing it. They are presented in an easy to understand way so you will catch on quickly and be applying your new skills to songs and music.
